The mighty Boro travelled to the west Midlands & possibly our toughest test for a while, 2nd placed West Brom at the Hawthorns, by the final whistle is was a case of normal service as the mighty Boro juggernaught just blew West Brom away with a 4-0 scoreline

Goals from
Alan Foggon, his 13th of the season
Graeme Souness his 3rd of the seaso
King John, with a brace, one being a penalty, our 237th scored penalty since our football league debut back in 1899, taking John Hickton's tally to eight for the season

This team was now hitting top gear & far to good for any team in that division

Since the little blip when we were knocked out of the FAC at Wrexham, losing at Forest 5-1 & 0-0 at home to Blackpool, the Boro have now won 5 on the bounce, scoring 13 & conceding 3

The majority crowd of 24,178 seen a visiting team wipe the floor with their team & deserved every accolade going
