This day 1987 - The last day we lost a 3rd divison league game

Walsall 1 Boro 0

I was at this game & the one big memory I still remember is a few of the Boro players, who wern't involved in the game, having fish & chips from the chippy outside the ground before kickoff

Seats for me this day, sat next to Dave Kelly their striker who was to sign for Newcastle the following season

After this defeat Bruce came out with another of his famous speeches, "We started the season going 12 games unbeaten, lets finish the season going one better" & we did
