Sign him on

He's class

Would be a class signing. Great passer and brilliant from dead balls which we haven't had since Gaston Ramirez

Ok with that TBH

Another level up from Ashley Fletcher who somehow has made a living out of football

Good luck to the lad but not for me. Too many inconsistent performances and his wages won't be cheap.

Interesting 👍

I think we'll spend money this summer & bring in experienced, exciting players, hold on to your hats guys 🎩👍

TeessideTopgun

Defo an exciting couple of months ahead ( I hope )  give MC the tools and he will deliver.

We can do better than them. O'Brien would be cover only if he signed and Thomas wouldn't get a look in with Engel and Bangura ahead of him for me.

Not been this excited & confident of a good summer for many years I really think Carrick & his staff will go all out to bring the players they want to the Boro

John Trebor

It's great that the whole club is on the same page.
Compare to Hull, whose owner has just sacked their promising young manager because he didn't like the way he utilised the attacking players he 'gifted' him in January.

Clem Fandango

I'd welcome O'Brien back (assuming good financial terms).  I think there is more to him than we've seen and he's been OK.

Glad the other two have been sent packing.

"Middlesbrough are keen on signing Tottenham striker Will Lankshear on loan for next season" - 19yo contracted until 2026 other clubs interested.. sounds a bit like agent talk.

newyddion

I can see him moving to a championship side.. but not boro.

Doesn't look like we're moving for Sam Greenwood.. Micah Hamilton from City might be too far of a stretch.

Somewhere in between?

newyddion

Word on the street is that he's been giving boro fans the thumbs up.. he would tho wouldn't he.

Would be a great bit of business for us imo

Hopefully when he sits down & looks at potential clubs wanting to sign him on loan we are looked on as the right fit to bring players on, our record under Carrick has shown that

erimus74

I want to read that Carrick has committed for 3 more years, not about loving it & wanting to stay, that's been said & resaid, lets get him signed up now.
Bring in the required players early, keep the excitement going & hopefully a few more ST's sold leading up to the August kickoff

Really excited about the summer & next season but for me, Michael Carrick has to be the start of it all

He did well did the lad, fingers crossed he signs. We need those type of players who wear their heart on their sleeves and will give their all for the shirt.

newyddion

We've gotta be keeping tabs on him.. especially if we're not picking up Lewis O'Brien

At 28yo he might not fit the new recruitment model.. Burnley should do their best to keep hold of him tbf and rumours that West Ham were interested.

Westlane_rightwinger

I thought LOB might be the answer early season until his injury at Watford.

Not been the same player since and glad he's not our player.

JB wouldn't be a bad shout.
