More talk of Coulson possibly moving on.. permanent to Blackpool maybe?

Gary Briggs made history in 1979 when he became the first players transfer to be settled by a tribunal when he left John Neals Boro to sign for Oxford, he not only enjoyed succcess but became a cult hero for the U's with the nickname "Rambo"

Not something you would get on flyme Newy 😏

It is certainly building up to be an interesting window.

He could well be the versatile forward who can play as a 10.

Maybe Forrs plays more as a striker next season?
I don't know why Forss hasn't been given more of a chance up front.  Best finisher at the club.  I like him.

We saw a similar thing with Stuani under Karanka. Would be great to see more of Forss next season regardless of position!

I like Forss but he, along with Fry, are too injury prone, both playets need to be squad/back up players, neither are reliable, good players as you say

If that happened you know got a fact that they would both rack up 40+ games guy other new club while we were left short!

Yeah he does seem to pick up a lot of injuries - which is a worry. Mind you we had a lot across the whole squad last year.  He's a feisty fucker with an eye for goal - I hope he gets to play a lot next year.

2 of his goals last season were clinical, think they both came when he'd returned to first team action after a lengthy lay off

We saw a similar thing with Stuani under Karanka. Would be great to see more of Forss next season regardless of position!

What do you mean by a similar thing? Stuani was at his best (for us) as an attacking right-sider. Karanka tried him up front - most notably at an away game against Blackburn  - where we were hammered and he had a stinker. Same with Forss. By far a better player attacking from the right - and when tried up front, rank ordinary. Don't get all these lazy "best finisher at the club" comments either?

Similar thing.. bought as a striker, played on the right, scored goals, fans wanted him to start up front.

Similar thing.

Stuani's goal record:
- Boro: 16 in 68
- Girona - played up front - 130 in 248.

Karanka was wrong.

Karanka'd stock has fallen dramatically since he left us.

He was backed to the hilt by Gibson

I remember folks bring scared we would lose him to Real Madrid!

Yep, he's a proven finisher, been underused (and injured a bit mind).

So wrong he got us promoted playing Stuani in the position he did.

According to The Gazette, we have knocked back a 12 mil bid for Lath.

Urggh.. that's pretty early doors. Hopefully we can keep hold of Latte with a few astute signings.

Johnny Thunder

The mood in the squad is buoyant apparently. It does appear that they are all on board with the plans and are looking forward to the season.

Anyway, the window opens a week on Monday I think.

We will see what develops as the window progresses.

Lath, VDB, Hackney: we'll get big bids for all three. One of them goes, then that's life - so be it. 2 or more of them go, then it's more of a rebuild, which means a likely shitty start to the season again, scrambling to make up ground and mid-table finish.

Johnny Thunder

Totally agree TMP.

Good to see you on and posting.
