"Interesting quotes from St Mirren boss Stephen Robinson, who has accepted defeat in bid to re-sign Zach Hemming and says the keeper has 'got the chance to be No.2 at Boro"

I'm guessing Tom Glover is off then?

Its a no go for the lad, he came to the Boro after turning down bigger clubs than Spurs, certainly a season to early for lad, maybe two

Theyre the last team Gibbo will want to do business with after the way they turbed Spences head then dragged their feet to hopefully get the fee reduced

Probably papertalk mind

Fuck off Spurs.

Spurs is not the club for RVDB he is much better than that. We've already seen plenty of rumours floating about

Hayden Hackney to West Ham for £18m, Seny Dieng to Newcastle for £8m, Riley McGree to some La Liga side for £6m.. the list goes on. Hopefully selling Morgan Rogers gives us a bit of breathing space.. but the model is the model and any going out will have replacements lined up.

Afternoon Erimus. The lad is bound to attract interest after his first season where he performed consistently with a maturity beyond his years.

Be a test of our resolve if any firm offers materialise - I really hope we turn down all offers for him, Latte Lath and Hackney to have a real go for promotion.

Ural Quntz

£40 M plus that striker of theirs and get Ben Gibson for free as cover for Lenihan/Smith

Not a fan of Ben Gibson 2024 version. Simply not good enough now.

We need to stop the annual end of season churn of players.  We are in a decent position this year to only have to lose a few less important loanees and McNair and build on a relatively stable squad. We don't want to sell quality players this time around.

If we get some of the injured back soon and make a few good signings we should be well positioned for next season without wasting the first few months of the season getting the squad/team settled again.

We're not in a position to turn down mega offers.. nor will we stand in the way of a player progressing.

I dont think turning any offer down will stop his progress, him wanting to come here was his choice for his career to progress & develop, he's gone on record as saying he loves it here & that he made the right choice, he chose us over many big clubs, he'll remain a Boro player till the summer of 2025, at least

Yep it won't stop him progressing to stay at least another year.

If we receive a "mega-offer" like 40 million then sure we have to bite but say, it's an offer like 10 million plus "add ons", then we need to tell them to fuck off if we really are intent on getting promoted vs just existing.

We've sold a fair few the last couple of years and worked down the wage bill - we shouldn't be in a desperate financial position.

Francks left peg

I think the lad is intelligent enough to realise he needs at least another season before a step up. Seems to have a good agent and family with their heads screwed on by all accounts.

Johnny Thunder

I agree Newy. He seems like he is a rare breed of player that has his head screwed on right.

He will go when it is right for him. Not to sit on another bench for a fuckin Panini card collector of a chairman.

Just think how many promising careers Chelsea have hindered or halted with their massive talent banking of youth players. appalling really.  they should stick to what they are really good at... buying west ham academy players!

Big season for Coburn! I heard his injuries and niggles were due to his growth.. hopefully they will settle down.

Not for me, he's been crocked for almost two seasons now. We can't afford to be banking on players with that record unfortunately. I'm not saying the lad won't be able to do it, but for me he needs to be playing games consistently, not as third choice behind LL and the other striker we are looking to bring in. God help us if we go again with just the two up top.

He's 21yo and went 10 in 35 for Bristol 2022/23 last season he outperformed Tom Cannon at Leicester who we were in for last summer. Folks are far too quick to write young players off and are too easily swayed by twitter Doyle's.

FI are normally quite reliable with rumours.

Can't see us being in for him tbh.. seems like one of those ones where the agents drop our name in the mix just for the crack.

Derby maybe
