Boro without a win this calander year, in fact, our last win was on the road away to Carlisle on boxing day & you had to go back even further for our last home win, right back to October 20th, a 2-1 win over Man City

Our previous home game against Oldham Athletic, on Tuesday night, seen another home loss in front of our then, lowest attendance of 3,477

The visit of Notts County seen the mighty Boro lose again, 1-0 to Notts County in front of our record lowest league attendance 3,364 at Ayresome Park, excluding war years

In the holgate for the Notts County game was our new chairman Alf Duffield

To the Boro fans who are old enough & we're there that day, depressing times

Willie Maddrens Boro team:-

Kelham O'Hanlon
John Kay on loan from Wimbledon
Paul Ward
Mick Buckey his final Boro game
Mick Saxby
Tony Mowbray
Tony McAndrew
David Mills
Alan Kernaghan making his debut
Heine Otto
Dave Currie
Sub, Alan Roberts

We had to wait till the middle of next month before we seen a home win when new boy Alan Kernaghan scored his 1st Boro goal

Francks left peg

Well it goes to show, it could be worse than now 😆
