For me, the best Boro player I seen live made his Boro debut on this day away to Fulham

Graeme Souness the best player I seen play for the Boro was Stan Andersons final Boro signing when the club paid Spurs £32k for him, he was registered at No494 when he made his debut wearing the No10 shirt for our 2nd division clash at Craven Cottage & 0ur 1st game of the new year

The Boro finished the year on a high with a home win over Oxford United when Alan Foggon, Stan Andersons penultimate Boro signing when the Boro paid Cardiff £10k for him, scored his 1st ever Boro goal on his 1st full game, after previously making 2 sub appearances since his signing

It was Gordon Jones final game at left back, he was to play one more Boro game, strangely enough, wearing the No11 shirt

The Fulham away game was also Alan Foggon 1st away Boro game


Malcolm Smith scored his 5th goal of the season but unfortunately, it wasn't to be enough as Fulham ran out 2-1 winners
