1904 Division One - Our first ever Xmas eve fixture as a league club was away to Nottm Forest in a divisios on fixture, with Henry 'Harry' Astley credited with Boro's first Xmas eve goal in a 1-1 draw, also, William Davies became our first Xmas eve debutant

1910 Division One - Our first Xmas eve defeat, a 5-1 thrashing at Blackburn Rovers, Ernie Verill scoring our only goal

1921 Division One - Seen our third Xmas eve fixture, losing away to Burnley, Boro goalscoring legend, A.N.Wilson, who is also the only player to score on both of his Boro debuts, scored our only goal in a 3-1 defeat, not good Xmas eve matches yet, played three, lost 2

1927 Division One - We lost at Sunderland 1-0, enough said

1932 Division One - Another defeat & again at Blackburn Rovers, this time to tune of 4-2, with Harold Blackmore & Joe Baxter scoring our goals

1938 Division One - Things improved slightly when going to Old Trafford & coming away with a 1-1 draw, Cliff Chadwick scoring our goal

1949 Division One - We beat Huddersfield 3-0 at Ayresome Park, goals from Robert Walker & a brace from Peter McKennan, attendance 33,424

1955 Divison Two - Our final xmas eve league match seen us beat Leeds United 5-3 at Ayresome Park
With a brace each from Lindy Delapenha & Charlie Wayman, with Joe Scott getting the 5th, an attendance of 19,416
