Blott

Talented modest and a massive Boro fan.

I read his biography and thought he had some of the places at wrong address. But I could be wrong.

It's a good read that biography 👍

Which places?

Artie Fufkin

It's a great read, even better as an audio book as he reads it

You're right Kenny, just funny bones and lovely with it. He doesn't need to find a target to use as as source of humour, just a wonderfully bonkers mind

BoroRedKen

100% Artie.

I didnt mind Vic but i enjoy Bob on his own. I hate fishing but love his and Whitehouse's show.

 :bigjack

BoroRedKen

I always felt Vic had to try more. Bob even made that slapstick stuff seem normal to him.

BoroRedKen

Anybody ever chatted with him or know him?

I think i saw him in Boro once. But the thing about Bob is he looks like loads of Boro blokes.

 :alf:

BoroRedKen

I tell a lie!

He came into a pub once when i was on t'door. Usual Boro head nod and "Alright".

BoroRedKen

The worst "representers" of the NE in pub land? Any twat that has ever been on that effin Geordie Shore.

Cause trouble in an empty house them bananas.

BoroRedKen

Every time that Charlotte lass opens her gob my knackers disappear into my guts.

Awful!

Same.
That show just takes all my troubles away (well for half an hour anyway).
Is there a Christmas Special this year?
The Chris Rea one was fantastic.

I have seen 1 listed but i did not read if it was a repeat.

Bobs "issues" with gravity get me every time. I howl like a mad dog!

Which places?
i thought he was getting Redcar Lakes estate mixed up with Linthorpe.

BoroRedKen

And the heart issues he has has made me like him more since Carmen passed.

I know how difficult it must be sometimes for him. And to comeback after the op shows some bollocks.

Top man in my book.  :bigjack

He was on about the area near The Coronation.
Coniston Grove, Thirlmere, Ullswater.....and so on.
It was odd cos noone referred to it as Lakes Estate

I played cricket with Bob's best mate(bloke who was on WILTY) and met Bob in Star with him-had a couple of beers and a chat-Bob was just like a normal pub mate, talking about normal stuff

Blott

We were stood behind him at Yeovil years ago on a very  hot sunny day when one those daft days when 1000's turned up for a nothing game.

He was with his son who had a bandana on, he was Boro daft too.

The only conversation we had was why had so many thought it a good idea to go that far for nothing.

tunstall

He was sat behind me years ago at Notts Forest for an FA Cup game.

He was really quiet.

I think he's hilarious. A national treasure.

John Trebor

I'm 95% sure I met him on Coniston Grove in the early 70s playing Theft & Shrubbery.
His gang was operating on one side of the road, ours on the other.

We just called it Garden Running. Obviously there was nobody in our gang with his imagination.

BoroRedKen

Garden hopping up our way Minty.

BoroRedKen

The houses on Clynes Rd.

1 householder must of dug a big hole in the middle of 1 night.

Run. 3ft high this side.

10 foot the other side.

Boy it hurt real bad!
