Christmas

I find it so hard to get excited over Christmas now that my kids are grown up.  It's kind of depressing.

Sure once I get grandkids the magic will come back.

Even coming home for the 1st time in 5 years isn't really sparking anything. 

Might be all the medical issues over the last 3 years has just totally drained me as well I wake up tired and stay that way all day long.

Oh well getting lashed down Yarm might help.

Had a festive PORK parmo in the Three Horse Shoes last night and it was mint

Is it because we are conditioned with "Its for the kids".

To me thats the presents stuff.

What about changing your mindset Ste and thinking of the time of the year and why its celebrated?

You dont have to be religious at all to understand and celebrate the reasons for it. We know "the true meaning".

If you can do that it will give you a reason to enjoy the festivities.

Its not just for the kids.

I don't have any grandkids yet but still love Christmas love the build up and opening presents but after that I think is that it over with for another year yes kids make it special but I'm a big kid at heart
