1920 - Our first league win on this day

When we travelled to Derby County coming away with a 1-0 win, courtesy of a goal from Alonzo "Jerry" Poulton, his 1st Boro goal of 5 he scored for us, in 19 appearances

We beat Derby 7 days previous to record our 3rd double of the season following doubles over Bradford City & Sunderland

Season 1920/21, same as the previous season & until 1923/24 when we played both fixtures of a team, say Derby, home & away within 7 days

Manager Jim Howies team finished 1920/21 in 8th place, 5 places above the previous season, our 4th best top flight finish in our 15th consecutive season in the first division
