When Sheff Utd arrived at Ayresome Park for a first division game

Boro having lost only one of their opening 11 league games, which was played a week earlier in a 4-2 defeat at Bury

The Sheff Utd game gave the chance for Boro to get back to winning ways & they did with a 3-1 home win
Goals from legendary George Elliot & a brace from Samuel Cail, with both Cail & Elliott recording their 4th goals of the season
