Scored his 12th & final Boro hat trick, when the mighty Boro beat Sheffield United 3-2 at Ayresome Park, which, since becoming a football league club in 1899, was our 27th HT at Ayresome Park & our 35th HT in total

George Elliott, who won 3 England caps, with his 2nd cap agaisnt Ireland at Ayresome Park, went on to play 365 games for the Boro between 1909 & 1925, scoring a whopping 213 goals, he also scored a 6 in one game when playing against Hartlepool United, November 1918, in the Northern Victory League & 4 against Bradford City in a 1st divison fixture at Ayresome Park on the 17th April 1920
