Sad news Darnel Fischer forced to retire

Just read about Darnels retirement from football, recall he made a promising debut away to leaders Norwich when man marking one of their main players he was so good the Norwich forward didnt get a sniff, think he was subbed too

He had a stop start career at the Boro, but I always thought he was ok & gave his all

Remember a few of us, on another forum, sponsored & later held a zoom Q&A session with him, when I came around to chatting with him I asked what it was like playing in an empty stadiums, due to Covid, then told him the day he was born Boro got thumped 4-0 at Tranmere😳😂

I later won the shirt we sponsored then gave it to a lad I know that had a number of his shirts stolen
