Only ever had one myself and it was in a pokey little speed trap town The speed limit drops from 45 to 35 in a 15ft space.   

The cop even said to me after handing me my ticket "I hope you and your family have a blessed day"

I told him " I hope you have the day you deserve"

Only had 1 myself in 42 years as well. Been let off doing 66 on the A66, decent plod must of been a pisshead as i held my hands up and told him i'd just finished 1 till 9 shift and was rushing to drop the car off and get the last few pints (10.30 last orders back then)

And before you lycra lot start.....

You can go to a car boot sale buy a pushbike for 15 quid.

Jump on it and ride basically where you want.

No proficiency test. No identifiable marks. No safety gear except helmet. No health/eye checks.

And not everyone who rides a bike also drive a car so that old chestnut wont wash with me.
