As the mighty Boro from 2-0 down came back & thumped QPR 6-2 in a 2nd divison fixture at Ayresome Park

With only the one home win so far that season, the seasons opener against Carlisle on the 15th August & after 5 minutes after kickoff the Boro fans must have thought another home game was going the same way then Boro turned the game on its head, well this win was certainly worth the wait, along with big Johns goals, his 6th of the season, a brace from Hughie Mcllmoyle, his 3rd of the season & one from Derrick Downing, for his 1st of the season
 
The game is remembered as Hughie Mcllmoyles game

John Hickton recoreded his 4th Boro hat trick, our 79th at Ayresome Park, 83rd home hat trick & 111th in total
