On this day, Ardwick were the 1st team we were to play home & away & the fans at the Paradise ground were in for a treat as at the 4th time of asking the Nops won their 1st football league fixture & 1st clean sheet to boot, as the Boro ran out 2-0 winners

The Nops, lost their 1st ever away league game when getting battered 6-1 at Ardwick, later that season becoming Man City, so sweet revenge beating them on this day
