Wasn't just a photo op though.
He did actually play in the shirt. Even if it was just in Platt's testimonial against Sunderland.
Then we thought we were buying him but he disappeared to Japan instead.
Sunderland's team included a young wonderkid called Aĺly McCoist, who had just chosen them over us.

His time here is definitely looked back on fondly. He was unbelievably good in that promotion season.
