Quote from: Ural Quntz (Moderator) on September 18, 2023, 07:10:44 PMWasn't Eddie Holliday signed from Wednesday the second time round?

I remember as a young un seeing 'Boro sign England Winger' on a Gazette news board and rushing into buy and find out which top signing we'd made

It was of course slightly disappointing to find who it was.

Good player in his time and part of that amazing forward line of Day, McLean, Clough, Peacock, Holliday

At least 3 of them England Internationals and we still couldn't get over the line

Maybe due to the bent defenders we had then letting them in at the other end?

Cracking shout Ural, according to my stats he was the 1st Boro player to be sold & then return back at the Boro, played for us between 57-62, went to Sheff Weds from 62-65 then back to the Boro for one season, 65-66

Were awaiting the results of the scan on Alex Bangura's injury, I thought he done quite well on saturday & was hoping after going off v Blackburn that he would ok for tonight, but it looks as though he's not going to make it, seems as though Lukas Engel will be making a quick return should Bangura not make it

When is Alex Gilbert going to be given a chance, he's an attacking midfielder who, due to him been an under 21, we paid £1m for when we signed him from Brentford, he chose the Boro over a number of interested clubs after he was offered a new deal with Brentford, Gilbert felt he needed a new challenge that would give him a realistic chance of playing regular first-team football next season, surely he's considered good enough, our 1st summer recruit & just sits on the bench

Woodgate centre half

Carrick, Leadbitter recalled to the midfield.

Danksy is in the hole playing a No10 role.

The rest started Saturday's defeat.

Carrick & Leadbitter tops, but is Danksy any good?

Optimistic me says 3-1 Boro win
Realistic me says 2-0 Wednesday win

Will Coburn get his chance, for me he has to be given a chance, he keeps persevering with both Roger's & Crooks who shouldnt be 1st team starters
Maybe Coburn for Crooks, Latte  as No10, cant be any worse than we have done & keep Rogers away from the bus so he cant travel

erimus74

Yes Coburn start, the very team he scored against onn his home debut, fingers crossed he does the business

Also McGree starting 👍
