David Armstrong misses his 1st back to back games

Since starting his incredible consecutive run in the Boro 1st team on the 24th March 1973 when Boro manager Stan Anderson gave DA the No8 shirt at home to Aston Villa

The Sunderland game was to be DA's penultimate game he missed, ironically, the last game he missed for the mighty Boro was the ground & team he was to sign for the following season, Southampton

Taking in to account he played 99% of pre season friendlies, then his consecutive running record will be there forever & a day

On this day we won at Sunderland, with Bosco Jankovic getting the only goal of the game

One of the best in my time following the Boro
