A 0-0 draw at Ayresome Park against Portsmouth followed by a midweek 2-0 defeat at Cardiff, well they made up for the lack of goals so far with a thumping 7-1 win at Derby

Alan Peacock bagged 4 goals, becoming the 12th different player to score 4 in the one game, the 24th time we've acheived this in our history, the other 3 goals were scored between Billy Day, Bill Harris & Eddie Holliday

Alan Peacock went on to score 13 goals that season with his partner Brian Clough, scoring an amazing 39 goals, 4 less than last season
