He's only played against us the once

He was on the bench for QPR, think it was in the 2nd half QPR were defending their 1-0 lead when Boro attacked & through on goal, their keeper came rushing out of the area taking the Boro striker out, ref had no choice but to send the keeper off & as a tactical switch, their manager took off a QPR player & brought on Lumley in goal

We peppered their goal & Lumley got was outstanding, pulling off save after save, playing the game of his life, winning the MOTM award earning his team a vital win, obviously Neil Warnock was impressed that the following summer he brought him to the Boro, unfortunately he never showed those qualities for us
