I enjoyed watching Shearers time at the Boro, he started his Boro career in an excellent team that realky should have challenged for honours, making his debut March 1978 with a brace in a 2-10 midweek home win over Chelsea, he wasn't gifted with speed, technique or one of our stand out bigtime players but he had a heart, gave his all & never give in attitude

Met him a couple of times at reunions, he did like a drink, he loved his time at the Boro

A little story about the board with Boro legend names behind us, we never had a player who played for us called Anthony Black, total mix up
