Its coming lads. Shoplifters now know that most shops will not stop people walking out with less 200 quid of shoplifting.

The next thing?

They will be banned from pursuing vehicles.

The cops following the white van in Nottingham have been referred to the IOPC.

WTF? WHY? For doing their job?

The tossers behind all this about cops will soon be moaning when it is completely lawless out there.

Can see it now , walking round self scanning upto £199 and walking out

I've heard the going down the CCTV route for shop crime, using technology when they can, but it won't help those who work in the shopping industry. Follow-up arrests upon viewing CCTV with a clear image, Not robberies of course.

Businesses are to be told to hire private security, also town centre shopping is bolloxed since the internet, bar the old dinosaurs who still like to mooch about in shops.

The retail industry is collapsing and is not a career path to be heading down, unless you are a computer wizz

The problem with CCTV is we can see crystal clear pictures of planet 1000's of miles away but a shoplifters all look like Shrek on the shop 1.
