I lived there for years lids. Most of the traffic in central now are electric or hybrid vehicles ie buses and Ubers.

It's like saying we still have the same air pollution issues despite the collapse of the steel and petro chemical industries.

How long have you lived down London?

Congestion charge isn't a tax. It's been in existence since 2003. It massively reduced congestion, increased public transport use and provided money to improve the infrastructure. It was introduced by Ken Livingstone, Boris increased the Price and Khan has continued with it. I'm not sure what your argument is for a 30% reduction in traffic and no improvement to air quality and traffic congestion.

Congestion charge is collected by Transport for London, it's not used to fund wars 😂😂😂

@teamboro i think I know what you've confused here now. Are you referring to ULEZ? Congestion charge has been around since 2003. ULEZ is just a further charge on top of the congestion charge if your vehicle doesn't meet specific emission standards. That's a very new policy brought in by Sunak/May/cameron or Johnson.,I forget which one

ULEZ came in in 2019 but was extended to all of Greater London area in 2023.
TfL (Khan) has since ruled to expand ULEZ to include zero emissions vehicles from 25th December 2025.

That's a difficult one to defend if it's supposed to be about clean air.
