Beating Sheffield United 3-1 at Ayresome Park in a first division game

Samual Cail with a brace, doubling his seasons account & George Elliott for his 5th of the season were enough to keep both points on Teesside

Brian Kelly & James Peggie made their Boro debuts. With Kelly making a total of 4 appearances & Peggie 6 appearances, both lasted the one season (1910/11)

This was our 12th fixture of the season & after losing our unbeaten record the previous week at Bury losing 4-2 we got back onto winning ways straight away

Samual Cail fell into the good striker, 55 goals in 143 appearances, not bad at all

Andy Walker, who lasted 6 months in the hotseat from January 1910 through to January 1911, due to bribery, seen his Boro team finish in 16th place & he was not involved in FAC matches which started in January 1911

In December 1910 - Boro's chairman Gibson Poole thought that if Boro were to beat Sunderland, 2 days before the local elections, it would increase his chances of becoming the towns MP, so before the game Andy Walker approached Sunderland's captain & offered £30 to throw the game, Sunderland's captain who promptly notified the FA who took immediate action.

Some say that manager Andy Walker was used as a pawn in Gibson-Pooles dealings
