The governor of the nick he's in has a duty of care, he isn't going to be put into gen pop if he's at risk from Muslim prisoners, it just won't happen, as far as monitoring goes, there's no more monitoring than the seg unit, screws are up and down the landing every hour, anyone at risk of self harm every 15 minutes or worse case a screw is sat on a chair outside the cell, food will be pre packed, if he's got any sense he'll be living on breakfast serial packs and pot noodles 🤣
