3-1 with goals from John Hickton, Joe, Joe, Joe laidlaw & Hugh Mcllmoyle

Stans team finished the season in 4th place on 50 points, only  3 points (two points a win back then) behind runners up Blackpool, who scored one more goal than us & the same goals conceded

John Hickton was a top goalscorer on 24 goals with Joe laidlaw on 11

We fared really well in the FAC after beating West Ham 2-1 in the 3rd, we then beat York City 4-1 at ayresome Park, won 2-1 away to Carlisle United in the 5th round & after unluckily, drawing 1-1 at AP against Man Utd we lost out 2-1 in the replay at Old Trafford

Lost to Man Utd in the 2nd round of the league cup
