Same for all public services.

All privatised by the back door.

Kippers

These last few years of Labour being quiet about issues I was thinking they were being a bit cute, besides Sunak ripping the shit out Starmer week in week out.
It appears the reasoning behind they lack of response was that they really have no fucking clue.
This 3 month wait for a budget has led to economic stagnation and money leaving the country. Really clueless.

Hey, but don't forget the last 14 years has been terrible. It really hasn't though has it ?

As someone who sees the NHS from within, in my opinion the only thing the NHS needs saving from is itself.

Plus, I'm a pen pusher (well keyboard tapper) and believe me without me and my team, nurses wouldn't know what shifts they're on, you wouldn't get your medical record updated with your doctors dictated notes, you wouldn't get your payrise unless my team send off the pay file, you wouldn't get your expenses paid,  amongst a load more other things pen pushers like myself do.

Not only does my team manage and support a lot of IT Systems, we also develop these systems, we are also expected to train people on these systems, we also manage projects.

Personally, I think my team are worth their weight in gold for what they do.

Why do "pen pushers" become the brunt LG?.

I have spent the last 3 years around JCUH. The "frontline staff" blame the pen pushers.

I said before that i saw some stuff that i could not believe was going on when all it would of taken "1 Boss".

I have calmed down re Carmens treatment. People blamed others. Nurses said it was "bed bookers" and vice versa.

I did feel at times that too much paperwork went on rather than actual treatment. They let that girl stay infected for 5 months with a shitty machine at home that kept failing.

But what is the answer LG? Money thrown at it aint worked/working.
USA style healthcare? More "pen pushers"?.

I think everyone needs someone to blame Ken...If my team fuck up and a system goes off, we don't blame a nurse or anyone else, we hold our hands up and then hopefully learn from the mistake.

I'm married to a nurse, so see both sides of the fence. There are some great clinical and medical staff out there, but there are also some terrible ones as well.

The last time I was in A&E, after seeing the doctor, was waiting in the cubicles waiting for a nurse to do their thing, all the while sat watching 2 young doctors and a couple of nurses laughing and joking with a porter...I sat quietly waiting until a nurse not in that group came and did her thing. They may have been  on a break, but didn't look good when I waited 45 mins to get sorted.

What is the answer? I'm not really sure Ken. I've been asked to look at savings again. I have pointed out where we pay for systems that can be done 'in house' for zero cost... no doubt I'll be made.to jump through hoops to make it happen and will probably lose the will to live while doing it.
