There were a few groans about him on Talksport this morning about his tactics. Problem with Spurs is, they keep buying players that are the level below the top 4 on paper. Until they break that mould they will always be in the top 5-8th bracket.

He would do better with the group he has if he had a few alternative styles of play instead of full out attack.  When 2 or 3 up even just sitting back a bit and countering would help rather than constantly taking the game to the opposition all the time.  All teams need to mix it up otherwise they become too predictable and too easy to work around.

I think they should have signed Ivan Toney.  There.  I said it.

That said, when Spurs are flying it is great football to watch.  I like him he just needs to be a bit more flexible/ pragmatic.
