Woke up this morning feeling sad and low as fuck.

Me and Carmen never had much but we did not need anything 'cos we had each other.
So we always made a fuss of "Birthday week".

We would make the 1 whose birthday week it was breakfast in bed every morning, surprise the "recipient" with a small, meaningless to others, gift each morning.

When i woke up this morning and realised there would be no "TAA-DAHH" and Carmen mental grin staring at me with a plate of bacon and eggs for the 2nd year running it destroyed another piece of my soul.

People told me time is a great healer.
Everyday without Carmen means im 1 day closer to being reunited with her.
The only "cliche" that applies to me is I CAN hear her saying "Dont you dare quit you fanny". "Put up or shut up". "Trust karma".

Remember it dont matter what sex you are. Whatever you identify as. What colour you are. What ideology you follow.
Just make sure that special person in your life knows just exactly what they mean to you.

Now jog on and let me wallow!!

Ken, you will get bad days I'm afraid. And probably be a while. Ask yourself this - would Carmen want you to give up and throw in the towel?

Of course not!

She would want you to embrace life. Something she had taken away from her.

Chin up fella. Remember the good times and try and look forward.

I am a prime example of being able to find happiness.
