Quote from: Kippers on August 18, 2024, 08:20:20 PMOn the left, I would like to see Engel power on past the right back.
Instead yesterday, everytime he got the ball it was straight back.

Exactly this,
I'm pretty sure that the times Engel has gone past the right back his crosses are pretty good or if he's closer to the goal he will have a go.

But yesterday, 4 shots on target not good enough, we should be making the keeper work.

Hamilton can play on the left.

Jones is good for the squad. Yes, he had a bad day at the office, and needs to be making better decisions at crucial moments, but we will be singing his praises again when he scores.

We are in a good spot at present, the club is at last being ran how it should be, with good people who know their jobs well. I expect us to be top 6 come the end of the season, and who knows from there. We want season on season improvement until we reach the prem promised land. Doing it the way Brentford did it seems to be the model to follow, and I would say we are doing that right now. Some players will need to be sold with each season in the chumps, just like Brentford did. And like Brentford, that money was invested back into the team making it stronger each time. The good times are here and now, you just don't realise it yet.

Horrendous backpass like but I think the crowd will get behind him on satda.

I'm a fan of his and always think we're a bigger threat when he is playing and constantly remind a couple of my mates who are on his back that if he did have a fantastic end product, scored more goals etc then he wouldn't be playing for us as he'd be playing for someone like Southampton or Wolves.

He is an option on the right although his decision making is questionable and we waste so many chances. I'd drop him for Dijksteel who has a point.
Thing is we should have buried those fuckers on Saturday and maybe would have if Coburn came on earlier ?
A narrow victory and a loss is not a great start some were making out.  Still, not bad though.

He got the penalty that won us the game against Swansea - one mistake and people are all over him like he's a child killer 😵💫 he's certainly won us a lot more points than he's cost us that's for sure. He may get less game time when certain other players get up to speed but Carrick clearly rates him and i can see why. He's a match winner on his day

To be fair though the mistake he made was awful
