Daily Mail - Fabian Schar was conned by what Alan Shearer labelled Ben Brereton Diaz's dirty tricks during the headbutt incident that saw the Newcastle defender sent off & tempers later flare in a tunnel fracas.

Shearer called it 's***housery at its finest' when Southampton debutant Brereton Diaz fell to the ground after he & Schar nudged foreheads during a first-half altercation. Craig Pawson sent off Schar & booked Brereton Diaz, who was mercilessly booed thereafter.

Well the likes of Shearer accepted it, numerous times he spoke on MOTD about how a player cleverly conned the ref when a team player blatantly cheats to win a free kick/penalty, even get a player booked, now cheating became bigger & bigger to the point players look as though they've been shot & nothing from these so called commentator experts, no name & shame them, just gloss over it etc, now its here to stay he's up in arms at a Newcastle player sent off at home to Southampton

Now I agree with him & understand his comments but he cant on one hand talk about it been ok to be clever when cheating to the level we now witness, especially in the greed is good PL.
It should have been nipped in the bud a long time ago, Michael Owen once admitted on commentary he used to practise diving in training
Video evidence when proven should have resulted in teams docked points & players suspended 

Fans have been complaining for years regarding the diving, feigning of injuries but what do the powers to be do, bring in VAR to highlight someones toe nail is ahead of an opposing player resulting in a goal been disallowed, for example, one of the greatest moments of sporting glory last season when Coventry were denied an amazing semi final win over Man Utd, yet Southamptons cheating forward is ok to go continue in the game

He also had issues when man managing players when manager of Newcastle. Owen springs to mind.

No way was the player hurt, the onlooking ref was going by the rules set out regarding confrontation between players, a player putting his head to another, the player went down like a sack of spuds, cheated

All the ref was saying was intentionally moving your head towards someone in that manner, in the laws of the game, it's a sending off. Insane.

So true, but they aren't even consistent on that rule, same with throwing their arms up at decisions certain players don't agree with

Both players moved their heads to each other. One stayed on his feet, one fell to the floor. Guy that doesn't cheat and stays on his feet gets sent off. All this cheating that goes on is shocking surely Var could have some input.
