I've just had to change the batteries, 2xAAA in the remote control TV in the bedroom. I bought the TV in 2004 when I moved into my old flat. They were the original Toshiba batteries that i took out which is how i know they were the originals and the TV gets used most days

20 years is a household record. Anyone top trump that?

I'm sorry, I don't keep an account of how long my batteries last

Artie Fufkin

Nor me as a rule, I just happen to know I bought the telly when I bought the flat and the batteries were the originals

Given how enthused I am by this discovery I might start capturing this data on a wider scale. Not the air freshener things though, the batteries in those things barely last a morning

I've got a Casio F91W I bought to start training with in 2006 that still works today

Artie Fufkin
