Quote from: erimus74 on July 18, 2024, 12:29:57 PMRead OTR regarding GON & firstly, dear me, using the word hate & rat for a comment he made, bet he wouldnt be called that if he was a big player for us, so well said @Ayton Mews, but secondly & more importantly, would he be a bad shout, he done excellent at Bournemouth, saving them from the drop & carried on his good management at Wolves

Southgate had limited skills as manager & look what he achieved

Southgate was a successful premier league manager, he kept us up for two season despite having the rug pulled from underneath him.. ultimately it was the banks that pulled the plug that cost us in the end. January deals lined up that had to be scrapped.

Lets not forget Southgate's influence as captain in those magnificent European nights.. McClaren had his eye on a job elsewhere. Three years with the England under 21s and head of elite development at the FA before that..
pretty impressive CV before his 8 years as the only England manager to get us to TWO major finals.

How can I forget him getting subbed off against Steaua allowing us to go on and win the game.

Did his trademark clapping from the sidelines quite well though

From the sidelines.. a bit like.. a manager!

There would be no more knee bending talking place  :redcard: No more woke shite  :redcard: That's an improvement straight away. Good luck Joey Lad.

Will Pep become the next England manager with Unai Emery stepping up to replace Pep with Villa bringing in Lampard, 😂

More likely to just be Lampard taking the England job!
