So.. again an assignation attempt is something out of the ordinary, surreal.. almost unbelievable.

So in that respect first and foremost.

Next you have the hit or miss.. it's either something or nothing. The bloodied ear (again I'm talking first watch, first impression, late night)
the guy is VERY VERY lucky to only have his ear bloodied.. could have been the difference in a gust of wind or the shooter breathing between life and death.

No tin foil hats no long elaborate plot.. just what it looked like.
