Lets hope that is the start of the slide 🤞

I didn't think Farage was winning his seat in Clacton? The Labour lad is straight out of uni.. no working experience. He was still 2nd favourite to win tho.. strange.

Just seems mad that they would pull the candidate.. unless they fancy a bit of farage in the HOC!

Is he the candidate who said he rejoices in the suffering of white men?

Some white men are even gullible enough to vote for them.

Farrage is on 46% with the tories 10pts behind last I heard. The Labour candidate has been withdrawn coz he's a fucking clown and a racist to boot. He told reporters, his fav drink was salty tears of white people, and the best one, he actually thought Wakanda was a real city in Africa. You really couldn't make it up, but there you have it.

I watched Black Panther on a flight to the USA and it left me more confused than ever in regards to the black civil rights movement.

Pop around our house and I will explain black civil rights and how my great-grandfather, who was one of the first black men in South Bank, and my grandfather fought against prejudice to bring up their families.

You better hold that, this time tomorrow I will be on the plane.

NC what year would that of been?
I ask because when i lived in Redcar years ago an elderly lady lived above me but she was born over the border and she could remember a ship arriving and quite a few blokes stayed in Teesside.

I later found out they were noted as the 1st POC to arrive in the area. Could or was your grandfather 1 of the 1st?
That would be some story to have heard if he was.
I have a pal in Boro whose Grandad was on the ship and he stayed in Boro but he had passed away years ago so i never knew him.(I only know of 1 time my pal got some abuse and safe to say it never happened to him again Boro!) a few of the lads on here would know him but like the rest of us we are all getting a bit too long in the tooth for some of our dubious pasts to be rehashed!.

Isn't POC 'wokespeak' Person of Colour?

It's utterly bizarre to me.. who IS'NT a 'Person of Colour'?

GHOSTS?

It's sounds polite.. it SOUNDS politically correct.. I've seen it used loads of times OTR.. but what does it actually mean?

a POC is just someone who isn't 'white' pretty broadbrush stroke!

People are all different colours, shades and tones..POC just doesn't sit right with it's me.

Yours Sincerely
Too Left for FMTTM and not Woke enough for RR x

Maybe it's worth asking your.. whoever what the score is.

The 'BAME' term is now our of date and feature in the name of one of our supporters groups.

Taken from the government website..

"We do not use the terms BAME (black, Asian and minority ethnic) and BME (black and minority ethnic) because they emphasise certain ethnic minority groups (Asian and black) and exclude others (mixed, other and white ethnic minority groups). The terms can also mask disparities between different ethnic groups and create misleading interpretations of data."

No real clear indication of what the accepted alternative will be.. but I did find this interesting..

"The term Global Majority which refers to all people in the world who are non-white is becoming increasingly popular. This group is around 80-85% of the global population and refers to people who are Black, Asian, Brown, dual-heritage, indigenous to the global South, and or have been racialised as 'ethnic minorities'."

Language is changing all the time and terms are being altered and updated.

One day saying POC and BAME might be ok.. and the next you might be seen as being out of date or offensive.

I am not sure of the exact day but it will have been just after the First World War.  He had been a Bosun on a ship and remained in South Bank.  He was originally from Montserrat.

Or perhaps it was because socialist high command failed in trying to goad Farage into making racist comments about this attention seeking freak?
