Scottish 23yo Defensive Midfielder from Lincoln City (League One) - very much in the Ardon Jashari/Max Bird type mould.

Jashari is a Swiss midfielder we were linked with.. due to join  Club Brugge this summer. Max Bird played for Derby County.. Bristol City signed him and loaned him back to Derby.. back at Bristol now I think.

They (Derby) had quite a few really good young players Jason Knight who went to Bristol City to has been doing well. Lee Buchanan the left back that went to Werder Bremen, Festy Ebosele right back went to to Udenese and Malcolm Ebiowei right winger all left on no a free transfer!

Louie Sibley who impressed early on is now available on a free by the looks of it.

I have mentioned on here Howson is the one that we need to replace, not that I dont rate him, I do, love the bloke, but at 36 can he perform at his high standards in another hectic championship season of quick sucession of matches & it felt players were looking for him when hes in the team & we struggle when he's not

But of a catch 22 situation.. you have to play as he's so good.. anyone who could replace him would have to play too! We had a similar situation with Barry Robson and Grant Leadbitter.

The American lad and Hackney could be the future.. if we can keep hold of Hackney!
