CCS will turn out to be a millstone round Boros neck.

Its great to concentrate on CCS. But you cannot change the fact that Boro is rapidly becoming a no go area after dark to some people.
The Wired was promoted as a "star attraction". Bound to bring people to Boro. Also the same for that arcade thing. Constantly empty!

People want shops back. Affòrdable cheap shopping.
Boro is not Manchester or London. This was tried for years at The Trocadero in London. It flopped miserably in the end.

I only ever see Mayor Cooke shaking hands!

People want shops back? Do they really,Kenny? If so, why haven't town centres thrived for many years? Even when Teesside park was doing well, we campaigned for better shops in Redcar. A proper high street if you will. Got Burtons,Dorothy Perkins etc. both died. Got a JD and a Argos but apart from that most things have died. Most people would rather shop online now. All Bargain and charity shops now

I do get it,but ppl are lazier and fatter. Easier to go to the local one stop shop.

Yes Franck i see your point. I dont think i worded mine right.

I was i think having a go at the "entertainment" side of it. We are constantly battered about the cost of living crisis, Foodbanks and everybody robbing Peter to pay Paul.

It is not cheap for a family of 4 to have a blast round these things.
We see other "forums" constantly running the area down (especially CCS) but then "overnight" they begin to champion it advertising new food restaurants and 10 pin bowling.
What has changed in CCS in between Preston and Cooke?
Nothing! But for some reason "its the in place" now!

I feel for Redcar. The Northern Quarter "got the cash" whilst the high street was left to rot.
