Two good goals from ELL taking his tally to 12

Ayling had another steady game today, I can see us offering him a contract next season, probably 12 months, along with Johnny Howson, though neither player should be guaranteed starts & I love Johnny Howson.
I just think we really need to build a team that can function without him & at 36 we cant be relying on him

No64, that is one high number, never seen a Boro player wear 55 onwards

Last season when he made his Boro debut at home to Barnsley in the league cup he was No31

Luke Woolston is No59

I was down from the start after Norwich winning. It was like a practice match. We walked it.

A routine win. All be it too little, too late.

Interesting that we beat a team one notch up from Sheff Wed and our usual duffers revert to type. So with a better calibre opponent still coming up on wednesday and with some of our better players back to full fitness its time to park Ball-loser & Greenwood for the foreseeable if we want to keep our non-losing run going.

Balaser not have a good game?

He's been good the last few games

Barlasar has good qualities but his decision making has cost us more than once this season, though TBF, Clarkes pass to him in the centre of the box that nearly resulted in an OG was poor, shouldnt have happened, Clarke should have played the ball down the channels

Barlasar is probably the best passer of the ball at the club, does that give him a free pass when he totally messes up

Hopefully Carrick signs a contract extension & has a busy sumner with his team & bringing in players that have that bit extra to get us into the top 6

Johnny Howson has been tremendous for us & without a doubt will be offered a 12 month contract, our talisman & Peter Pan rolled in to one
The worrying thing is he's 36 & we rely on him so much

we see different games. In both the last 2 I would give them both 7 or 8 out of 10. Did Barlasser give the ball away? Did Greenwood stop running?

They are decent championship players. Not brilliant not bad.

I like Barlasar & in a good team he'll shine, yes he gave the ball away twice in dangerous positions & inches away from scoring a cracking OG
Greenwood for me, although he does put the milage in, was back to his pre Sheff Wed performance when he again flattered to deceive

Again, all about opinions, should we buy him, at £1.5m, young, fast will hopefully improve once settles, then yes I would take a chance on both him & Ayling
