Super Boro a force to be reckoned with, look at the bottom 3, imagine the London media they'd have been in meltdown

He should have signed David Cross, it could have put us over the line.

I know we disagree on this but I still think Robson & McLaren times were better.

I will have been to every home game and probably 10 away that season. Was that the season we were locked out at Leeds and finished up behind their goal.

Yes thats right

Nothing wrong with disagreeing Blotty, all about opinions, 👍

John Trebor

We were the real deal under Charlton. We could have won the double that season.
Kevin Bloody Hector.
Bob Bloody Hatton.

Robbo and McLaren brought the superstars to the Riverside which was great, but we were never competing as 'equals' in the same way we were under Big Jack.

I think what made the Robson and McL era better for me was I took my son. We never quite did it under Jack, but I agree it was tremendous times.

Jack always said , despite the rumours the money WAS available for  David Cross etc , jack just thought  he was no better than what the had .

He was too tight with the clubs money, both Hankin (1st time round) & Cross were worth going he extra £20/30k

He was also offered a young scottish striker from Dundee for £100k & turned the offer down saying he's to young & hadn't proven himself, within a few months Andy Gray signed for Aston Villa

Back then 2 points for a win and 1 for a draw then eh

tunstall

Two points for a win was kind of shit wasn't it?

erimus74

Typical Boro, just when us fans started to believe the impossible was possible we lost it during the runnin, losing 2 on the bounce & even just missing out on europe 😢

Obviously the information was above your intellect   :diego:

2 points instead of 3 changes everything when it comes to who wins the title who gets relegated .

Anyway I found this in my pocket I think it's for you  :winston:
