The powers that be, need one almighty kick up the arse!

It's completely disgusting and disgraceful that our grade II listed bridge (oldest transporter in the world) has been left to get to this stage! 

It's been closed for years so the authorities can't deny they knew it had problems!

If I was in the construction industry, having read that report, and knowing it could collapse with me underneath it, I would CERTAINLY be having HEAVY doubts about going anywhere near it to effect repairs, so this could mean the end of the road for our wonderful landmark!

Once it stopped carrying people & cars across the river it was nowt more than a pile of rusting steel , The odd bungee jumper used it. no way that's ever coming back to life it's a shame and a big miss in the area used to save lots of people a lot of time travelling  wise.

Just think that £65 million of tax payers cash Michelle Mone & her grubby husband fleeced from  us could have been used to bring it back to all  it's glory for decades to come. But the cash went on a new Yacht for them instead .

What a nightmare this thing would be to demolish!

Because each half of the bridge needs the strength of the other half to remain intact, progressive dismantle of something about to collapse would be almost impossible. 

Blowing it up and having it collapse into the river is a non starter as businesses use the river for transporting goods!

Leaving it to rot and possibly succumb to an uncontrolled collapse is also a non starter!

That only leaves "repair it"!

Unless someone can come up with another option?????
