For those saying that football support has gone sterile, come to a few away matches. Last night in my opinion was as tribal as it gets, even 6-0 down we sang and chanted until the final whistle. It took me back to the late 60's . One word to describe it @FANTASTIC "Can't wait for Sunderland and Leicester. UTMB!!!

Amazing, they should feel mighty proud of themselves, the talk of the country 👍

We're one divison below an out-of-sorts, mid-table, Premier League side yet got routed on the night.

No offence to the OP but our fans were all too reminiscent of those of a non-league outfit after putting up a plucky performance against one of the "big boys".

We were totally humiliated yet the players were treat like conquering heroes rather than the abject losers that they were. Giving the message that losing heavily is something to be applauded is a no no in my book.

Back in my day they'd have been showered in boo's, rotten tomatoes and dog shit for a performance like that.

Who have won 4 of their last 5 games at home. Drawing against Man City, just for a little context.

What days were those? I started in 1966/67 I can't remember  us giving stick for a defeat against a team who were recently European Champions.

I know 100pc we did not boo after getting a good hiding at Man City.

But us Ra Ras know nowt.

Remember the frontpage headlines after losing to Chelsea in the ZDS final in 1990, similar to last night, will post the gazette headlines tomorrow 👍

Buddy will be back under his rock by then, waiting for our next defeat when he'll re-emerge

What days where these then Bud ? I've stood on the terraces since 1960 with some of the most cynical Boro supporters that have ever existed (The Chicken Run ).I'm still attending games home and away with some of these lads.Over 4000 fans singing and chanting and silencing smug entitled Premier League supporters of a billlionare team was somethingto see .I attend a lot of away matches and win lose or draw I'm proud to say I'm a SMOGGIE and a Boro supporter. We know we are a middling Championship side and even though we where outclassed and outplayed we celebrated the achievement of a Cup Semifinal. WE are MIDDLESBROUGH and EVERYWHERE WE GO EVERYONE WILL KNOW WE ARE MIDDLESBROUGH!!! LOUD AND PROUD BORO SUPPORTER !! UTMB!!!

There were Chelsea fans leaving after 75 minutes most Boro fans stayed to the end that sums the difference in support up.
