24 league games since we suffered our only league defeat so far, with 15 of those games wins (we were to lose the next game away to Forest)
Boro comfortably beat Pompey at Ayresome Park with goals from Alan Foggon, Malcolm Smith from the bench & Graeme Souness recording our second double of the season & with 2nd placed Orient beating the Mackems that afternoon, the mighty Boro remain 5 points clear of Orient & oncourse for a return to the top flight for the 1st time in 20 years
