David Mills scores his 1st Boro FAC goal

The mighty Boro travelled to 1st divison giants Man City for our FAC 3rd round cup tie

City were sitting in 2nd place in the  1st division, one point behind leaders Man Utd, Boro faced a very daunting task indeed

We gave a very good account of themselves & were really unlucky not to have won the cup tie on the day
David Mills, Jim Platt, Willie Maddren, John Craggs & Stuey Boam were making their FAC debut for Boro, with David Mills scoring his 4th goal of the season to put the mighty Boro one nil up

With 3 minutes remaining & Boro dealing comfortably with evverything City could throw at us we were dealt a serious blow when Franny Lee dived (cheated) the ref fell for his "sportsmanship" & awarded City a lifeline, a penalty, Lee dusted himself down, placed the ball on the spot, took a few steps backwards then ran up to the ball & put City level to fight another day, underserved, cheating, equaliser
