Regional newspapers are a great way to get a look at the past.
I went to a restaurant near Loch Lomond yrs ago and the toilet walls had been decorated with 1950s newspapers. I was in there for ages reading them 👀. My brother in law came looking for me and stayed a while too. My wife ended up asking a male member of staff to check up on us. Apparently it happened a lot.
