Sri Lanka should have had a wicket first ball

 :rav:

It's time for some of these players to show us what they can do otherwise they'll be on their way home....

We have been poor so far this tournament and Sri Lanka usually beat us at the World Cup anyway so I'm not expecting much today

England's best batsman just been run out

Fuck off you stupid cunts

tunstall

England 68-3 in the 13th over

 :rav:

Fucking shite performance so far

And you know our bowlers aren't the most economic

Nosmo-King

Really don't know what has gone wrong - the majority of them are woeful. Livingstone gone now! Pathetic

tunstall

Absolutely pathetic mate

On the plus side, at least I'll be able to watch the whole game before I set off to Leeds for my tea

A bit like footy tournaments i only get into the knockout stages.

I know we (England) are in must-win land but its not really floating my boat this cricket world cup

Remind me......are these "professional" cricketers?

Just come home now you useless cunts

156 all out after winning the toss and choosing to bat. Pathetic.

As they say on a certain ITV quiz show.......the chase is on!

23-2

Francks left peg

Absolute embarrassment. The whole tournament

Mike Peeler

They must have thrown it and don't fancy being away..

World champions to a pile of shite out in the group stages - it doesn't sit right IMO.

We are better than that.

I love cricket, follow England closely but for whatever reason I couldn't get excited about this ODI World Cup.

I think the schedule is too crammed now and a format will have to give. It won't be test cricket and T20 is too much of a moneyspinner so for me 50 over cricket has had its day in my opinion.

Probably right mate

England obviously couldn't be arsed with it

They've still got four games to play...none of em give a fuck

Put em on the next flight to Leeds Bradford

2nd best format of the game as far as I'm concerned. Absolutely despise 20/20. And as for this non-cricket 100 garbage...

I'm probably amongst the dying breed but it is still test-match cricket for meat top spot.

I've bought into T20 but don't go out of my way or alter my diary to watch it like I would a test match.
No doubt if I was a player it would be T20 for the money on offer like today's lads are. The is no shame in saying it.

Pretty much my thoughts

I think this summer's Ashes series proved test match cricket is still the pinnacle of the sport

It did for us and the convicts, but money talks and on the sub-continent test cricket will struggle agaisnt the £££'s of the likes of the IPL

It sounds pompous but that's why I think that England decided to play the way they did the last couple of years as they knew if test cricket didn't become more entertaining for the 'I want it now' generations, then it would eventually die off.

Speaking to some Indian lads at work about cricket and a lot of them hate test cricket....

Difficult to find any positives from this shit show. Truely pathetic - collectively
