I genuinely have no idea who this guy is but just seen a post on FB that it was suicide at 4am with a gun.

As i have said in the past i have been in Dave Courtneys "company" twice and the geezer could party.
A big player in the E game and rave scene "back in the day".

Cant really say i "knew" him but he could tell a story. He seemed to thrive on his publicity.

The days of the "celebrity gangster" are tailing off.

Myself and Barbara met Dave Courtney when he was in Hartlepool doing scenes from the film Six Bend Trap about a greyhound. My daughters fiancé James ( who sadly died of cancer in 2008) was part of the production team for this film and a few others. Bought the beers and was ok with us 👍

A lot people think people who have decided to end their lives by suicide must be right nutters, kicking off and running around screaming.

In my "experiences" that is far from it.

Once people make that decision they tend to find an inner peace.
How many times have you heard "but he was laughing and joking yesterday"?.

Spot on.

Unless you are in that position i dont think you can ever understand the reasoning. My brothers best friend killed himself many years ago - he had two kids and a partner. He left a long letter explaining that in his mind, him being around was a problem for those closest to him. He was convinved him taking his life benefited people more than him being alive and a strain on them.

Impossible to get your head around when you care for them but like i say, unless your in their head, we just dont know.
