Crazy how time flies sooooo quick

Stoke City were the visitors to Ayresome Park when Bobby Murdoch was our manager for this 1st divison (now PL) releagtion season

Bobby Murdoch was quickly finding out how hard life as manager really is, especially after having the heart of the team ripped out when the club seeing the £ signs cashed in on 3 of our big assets, with the sale of David Armstrong, Mark Proctor & Craig Johnston

New recruits were brought in but apart from talisman, Heine Otto, others were found wanting & we struggled from the season kick off

With just the one victory out of the opening 7 league games, a 2-1 home win over Birmingham City, it was vital to get something from the Stoke City fixture

An attendance of 11,604 seen Terry Cochrane, Billy Woof & Dave Shearer score our goals to cancel out the 2 goals from Stoke, for a 3-2 win

Chicken run season ticket holder for me
