Another good win for the Mackems - they seem to turn over the teams that turn over us.

My two aims each season when in the same division of our north east rivals and throw in Leeds is to beat them in games when we play each other and finish above them in the league if we don't get a promotion.

If we get promoted I sort of hope they all come up with us. So we play each other again. Failing that I always hope they get relegated if they don't go up with us.

That's my outlook on matters when up against these three rivals.

I think he had to go and I think Gibson rightly took him out of it all after the Barnsley away game. He took some abuse that day and the were scuffles/fighting in the away end Boro on Boro over the shit he was getting.

The funny thing is a Boro legend as we all rightly say - was given the worst abuse I've heard and witnessed any Boro manager get to this date. Which always puzzles me.

I do not think he would ever come back to manage Boro even if it was offered to him after that day at Barnsley and he often mentions the effect it had at the time on him and his family.

What i will say the no let up when the Boro crowd turns on you.

Well I'll state that anyone who slags him on here can't have seen him play for us, what he did.

I bet the one's who did only have a good word for him.

It's a massive shame how it ended up for him here. I wish he'd held off being our manager, say till round about now.

But let's not forget this club is in his heart, always will be.

All over there and over here are entitled to give a valid moan about the goings on at Boro. Good and bad but calling for the bloke's head online in a shouty way needs to be backed up at a match if folk feel that strongly about it.


I see and read plenty of the former, but not of the latter, which puzzles me.

Indeedio, I like as a poster but he doesn't just bump Gibson out all day after a defeat.

I normally look forward to the Boro/Sunderland games, as things stand I'm a tad worried about how it could turn out come October if we don't get our act together.
